Orcas | Kids Write

Q: What do Orcas need to stay healthy?
A: Vitamin Sea.
Orcas are known as one of the fastest creatures in the sea. Orcas live in pods. A pod is a group of animals that live together like a herd. A human pod would be a family.
Orcas are black and white like pandas. Orcas are predators and they eat squid, fish, octopuses and sometimes they even eat great white sharks. They are as long as a school bus. Orcas have one young at a time. They are interesting because they might become endangered. To help orcas, try not to use plastic bags because orcas think they are fish and then they eat it and then they get sick and they die. I like orcas.

About the Author: I am nine years old and I love animals. I am homeschooled and I love to read a lot about animals. We like to go to the beach. I touched a jellyfish once on the crown. Jellyfish can sting but they are just trying to defend themselves. Creatures are just trying to be themselves. If you see a wild creature and you don’t know what it is, leave it alone.

Great information and good use of vocabulary words! I agree it’s best to leave wild animals alone!
